Meet our Holly! This little lady is one of the most unstoppable, energetic, and loyal wonder women you can meet. A spark of good energy flows your way when you’re in her presence. If you’ve popped in to our Noosa boutique on one of her working days you’ll know what we mean! A big part of our wYse history, Holly has worked with us in our early days and played a big role growing our wYse label throughout her time here. She left and later returned to work in our Noosa boutique and has helped countless ladies feel amazing, feel supported and comfortable when they walk through the doors.

Enter the wonderful world of Holly... Dreamer, Dancer.

Small town girl

“I grew up in Nauru and then my adolescents in Weipa, a mining community; where red dirt, stoic characters, and sports were plentiful. I always had a love of dance which is my true passion and discipline and I was lucky enough that my family invested in my training.  As a child I was obsessed with the elegance of black-and-white movies, so I am definitely a dreamer and love all things beautiful. Can you image? I was certainly a little overdressed in the outback way back when!”

To the coastal allure of Noosa

I arrived in Noosa straight out of boarding school in 1991 and the luxury of Hastings Street Boutiques enticed me into my first retail experience. After years in swimwear and fashion boutiques from Noosa, Hamilton Island and Port Douglas, I took off to Brisbane to pursue work in fashion Agencies where I really got to see fashion 'behind the scenes'. Inevitably, I owned my own boutique Divinity for around 6 years.

She danced through our doors!

“I believe it was around 2010 that I became a sales agent for wYse. It was a really amazing team and experience. From selling the seasonal ranges to Fashion Shoots and Expos. There was never a dull moment. It really was the golden years of Boutique Fashion and I still love to work with Liz whenever I can. I love my time in the Noosa store.

It’s time to be Queen of the desert!

I'm still acting, singing, and dancing with Fierce Studios in Noosa, local theatre, and paid stage work. I'm one of 'Cherie D Amour’ dance crew for the Doowop Dolls who produce shows and are hired for corporate events. Late last year, I fractured my leg which is a temporary inconvenience, however the perfect opportunity for a new adventure while I heal. I'm off to Tannum Sands QLD (another mining community) to spend some time with family and stay tuned as I'll be sending my adventures back by postcards. It feels a little Pricilla queen of the desert time!”

As Holly bids farewell to wYse, we know somehow she’ll find our way back to us in some form in the future. We wish her our heartfelt best wishes in pursuing her new adventure.

Good-bye for now Holly xx
